The ‘Capacity Plus’ factor: Accredited Training for senior students
Capacity Plus is the training arm of NT Christian Schools and a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) under the Australian Skills Quality Authority. It provides Vocational Educational Training (VET) for school students and adults.
Through Capacity Plus, NTCC senior students can undertake accredited Vocational Education Training Delivered to Secondary Students (VETDSS) as part of their studies.
“All of our programs are working at equipping and empowering people, especially people trying to find their pathway,” explains Darran Plumb, Capacity Plus’ Director of Training and Community Impact.
“For a high school student, that might mean doing an accredited Certificate II in a particular course as part of their senior high school studies. It could involve accredited training that puts them on a pathway to an apprenticeship, trade, or a vocation they love and enjoy.”
Capacity Plus (previously known as Transforming Training) has been delivering quality training in the Territory for decades. In the 2022 NT Training Awards, Capacity Plus was awarded Runner Up in the Small Training Provider of the Year category, placing above the stiff competition of other high-quality RTOs.
VETDSS funding through Capacity Plus
As an RTO under the Australian Skills Quality Authority, government funding is available for many of our students through the NT Government Vocational Education and Training Delivered to Secondary Students (VETDSS) program or the User Choice Funding Program. This funding may completely cover the cost of the course.
